portlight rubber lubricant?

Whats everyone using as a lubricant on the rubber gaskets. our 34 is 16 yrs old and the gaskets are dry. i looked in the archives but couldnt find what i wanted. thanks. craig

I'd try silicone.

Craig:I would try silicone. It just may be time to replace the gaskets. You can get the replacement material from Bomar/Gray.

I use petroleum jelly on mine. They are old enough to drink in most states. Regards, Jim
