Does anyone have the original part numbers for the fixed portlights on a 1978 Hunter? I have an oval window then a rect. window with a trapezoidal end. I know the front opening portlight part numbers (I think) but if someone has those, those would be great too. I suppose these like all other things are out of date and gone? (I actually was in complete shock when I could still get the same bulkhead compass with the same alignment holes with a bonus! a nice tilt gauge added on over the years.. ) thanks R. Paquin

Where....

I have the exact same boat, windows and all. I am in need of a new compass too. Where did you find your replacement. I wish I could help you on the portlights. I noticed that one of mine has been replaced. I will look this weekend for a manufacturer and part number. I would love to have opening ports in the salon.

Replacement

I bought replacements for my fixed ports from Mark Plastics at 909-735-7705 Corona CA. They fit like new and were easy to install.

Original replacements can be found at thriftymariner.com All 8 ports will probobly be about 50.00 each. Part # 715AD and 512AD. I have researched it but have yet to order them. So don't take them all.

Marcus

Marcus, I walked in the local store in buffalo, (obershiemer's) and there it was on the shelf. It was the Gemini model, the only thing that had changed was the bolts were just a bit smaller on the new compass and the new tilt-level. make its much easier to see/use without all those scratches. actually, we have someone local who repairs compass's, I might have the old one reconditioned with a new face (glass), just in case.
