Yes, give us a call at 877-932-7245. We have the ports and to my knowledge we have the best prices on them.

If you want fancy, try newfound metals. If you want replacements, follow Phil's advice.

Portlights

I have a H1978C. This is one of my spring projects. I just did my research at the Annapolis Boat Show. The original ports were by Grey Industries (no longer in business). The advice so far is excellent. I forget the sizes quoted by the New Found Metals rep but he recommended that (for coastal cruising) I go with the less expensive opening ports. They are plastic with stanless steel support at the "stress" points The cost was about $ 329.00 (total) for two of the larger opening ports. Those are the ones in the galley and the head and $ 279.00 (total) for the two opening ports in the "V" berth. I have the size sheet and actual prices at home but, can get them to you if you want to contact me seperately. I found the rep knowledgeable, and the price within my range. There was not realy a big "boat show" discount but, that was fine with me as I need to save up for them anyway.

I talked with the Lewmar rep. WHAT an $%%. He gave the older couple in front of me such bad advice it was clear he was an idiot. Ports too expensive and he convinced me that customer service would be nonexistant (SP).

I also spoke with a really intresting older gentleman who was president of a small manufacturing company. They make sliding windows. He and I talked about replacing my fixed ports (the targe ones in the main cabin) with his product. It is much like a Lewmar port but custom mabe to my specifications...and without the attitude. The idea appeals to me better than simply installing opening ports on a fixed window.

Liked this guy...really hated the Lewmar rep.

I liked the NFM as they have actual gaskets and do not rely on silicone bedding. Most of all...I felt NFM would stand behind thier product.

I do prefer the look of Lewmar but, I guess I ain't buying enought product for them to want to talk to me.

I hope someone from Lewmar reads this post and sets the "boys" down and explain customer service and commerce to the sales staff.

Right now NFM wins on all counts. I plan on installing the two larger opening ports and deciding if I want to make the "v" berth ports the same size...or go with the original size.

I think that you will find that the OEM Grey ports on the Cherubini Hunters are still made by Pompanette in FL and the best prices on them are found right here at the SBO Chandlery. If you are looking for direct replacements, that is the route to go. If you want to go upmarket and install all metal, the NFM is a good bet. Lots of info on replacing ports here on the forum - do a search.

Hey I did the NFM route Here is the link to the photos I took when I installed them. Was a bit of an undertaking and I was at it for a while with routing out the old rotten core and reglassing/epoxying the inner and outter skin then routing the NFM Profile in the rebuilt hole. Was very much worth it I just love them and I get a lot of compements on the look. Here is the link: http://forums.hunter.sailboatowners.com/album.php?albumid=711
