I just purchased a H26 and plan to cruise the islands in calm weather for about 3 months but I need to be able to run a laptop (navigation), GPS, Tiller Pilot, a portable fridge/freezer unit, misc other stuff that can add up to 80 - 140 amps / day and intend to do all this on the H26. It came with 100w solar panels installed already and I plan to purchase a small generator also. Does anyone have any experience with these electrical items on board and how to keep them charged assuming no access to AC power? Everything on board would be 100% DC powered. I hate the thought of having to stay close to a Marina the whole time and without at least a small fridge it will be difficult to leave the Marina for more than a few days at a time. I'm very interested to read/see any solutions / ideas, other forums, etc. I plan to go from Jan-Mar/Apr 03, but need to make my purchases in by mid Nov 02 in order to be sure they are shipped here in time. The boat is currently in Kuala Lumpur, I'll trailer it to Kuala Keta, sail to Langkwai, then on to Phuket (120 miles each way). Any/all ideas would be helpful as I'm on a crash course learning curve on doing these electronics myself! Thanks,Pat
