I thinking of adding Lewmar electric winches at the helm on my 2007 H-36 but don’t
know for sure if they will fit.
Been having back problems over the years so help with the electric winches would
be real good but thinking of maybe the hand held power winche like winch rite and
also a friend said he used a makitada right angle drill 18 volt rechargeable or any others
that anyone want to way in.

Apparently the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Drill/Driver works well. You can order the Winchbit bit directly from Winchbit. It is 1/2” size. Winchbit does recommend a minimum torque which the above drill meets.

anyone want to way in
This is an old link
https://forums.sailboatowners.com/index.php?threads/electric-winch-handles.138315/

Although I can't remember the link, someone was looking to put a low profile electric wench where Hunter designed a spot for it.

My quick search didn't find that SBO discussion. I do remember he found a way to install one and I think did a pretty box for the motor in his cabin.

Some considerations...
1) I use mine for even MOB procedure lifts
2) Mine uses the Engine Start Battery for High Amp pulls
3) Mine can use the Boom topping lift with a dingy sling to launch/retrieve

I have a Hunter 40.5 and installed a Lewmar electric conversion kit for my Main Halyard cabin top winch. Not sure about your boat but it fit with some skinned knuckles and sore fingers in the space provided for it below the cabin top winch (accessible by removing the light fixture in the aft cabin). I don't know why I waited so long to install it. If you're going to go with the powered "handle" I'd opt for the right angle drill. A little heavier and bulkier but much less expensive to use and replace. Of course the Lewmar conversion is the cat's meow though if you can swing it.
