Hello all

So I have 4 trojan T 125 6 volt batteries, 12 volt system. Want to take them off the boat and equalize them at home. What is a good quality, not break the bank charger that can do the trick.

Thanks
Greg

I have a small Victron charger which has a equalization cycle feature I bought for less than $150 a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, I lent it to a friend and can’t recall model number.. it’s Bluetooth enabled if that makes any difference

Take a look at Victron. I have a small Victron for home use, can't remember if it has an equalization setting. There are several models with BT.

I invested in a bench top power supply years ago and feel it was well worth it (less than the cost of one battery). I use as recommended by MAINESAIL at one point: VOLTEQ HY3020EX DC.

I use a laboratory power supply capable of both voltage and current control. Cost me $65 iirc.

You need one that will control voltage to at a minimum of 0.1 volts (mine is controlable to 0.01 volts) and you will want to be able to control current. Mine is 0 to 10 amps. That's plenty for what I need.

Any power supply that gives you that control will work.
