I am buying a used Hunter 33 and am going to buy an air conditioner. Has anyone had any experience with a portable AC for this size sailboat?

we have a 9000 btu portable on our 356 and it works great. we normally have it secured in the forward cabin so it blows into the main cabin. the exhaust duct can go out any hatch-we have it connected to a powervent in our forward hatch. since it's on wheels, we can roll it into the main cabin at the dock if we need to use the forward cabin. there's several of these on the market, proices range from 450-1000 for a 9000 btu unit, a little cheaper for a 7000.

What brand of AC did you get? And does the condensation vent out with the exhaust and does it have a tank?

we've got a haier. there is no tank, condensation is blown onto the condenser as part of the cooling air stream and exits with the exhaust
