Porta Pottie Dumping

Peggie: I read the discussion about dumping porta potties in another forum and found it incomplete. Could you give your thoughts on this subject, especially from the point of view of interior lakes where either marinas don't exist, or where they lack dumping facilities for the public. Its not the sailboats that I worry for most on this subject but instead the more abundant small power boats. Would like someone to provide information to users and administering agencies of small lakes to better address this subject as now it is mostly hidden from public discussion and probably results in water pollution even of culinary water sources. I had one for many years. I used to have a 5 gallon bucket with a sealing lid like they use for food storage and when the porta potty was full I'd empty it into the 5 gallon bucket, snap the lid and go back to the party. Once ashore empty both. A messy job but someone has to do it.
