port & starboard settees

I am in the process of buying a 1983 Hunter 31 and while searching for any and all information on that year and model, I noticed they all have some variation of a fore and aft settee. My salon has port and starboard settees with a fold down table much like the 27'. I have yet to find another Hunter 31 with the same configuration as mine. Was port and starboard settees an option in 83, or do you think mine is a retrofit? Thanks, J

John; The original H31 brochure shows just the starboard dinette with fore and aft facing seating. Later models had a u-shaped starboard dinette. Mac 1984 H31 owned since new.
