Port side leak above porthole

I have a 1986 Ciatation 31 and am experiencing a leak above the portside porthole. The portho;e has been re-bedded and does not appear to leak. The keel mounted nast does not appear to be leaking. That leaves the hatch, the handrail and/or the decorative teak strip. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, over the weekend, the enhine suddenly quit. I guessed the fuel in the fuel tank was sludged up and needed to be cleaned out and replaced. I replaced both fuel filters, but can't sezem to get the engine started. Any suggestion?Ken

Need to bleed fuel system

I can't help you much with the leaks as I never quite seem to get them all stopped. The engine should start if you bleed the diesel fuel system. On my boat that includes the bleed screw at both fuel filters, the fuel pump, an cracking the lines at each injector. You should get a flare nut wrench to break open the fittings, so you don't mess up the nut. When you are bleeding down the system don't foget ot open the compression relief until you get fuel flowing out the bleed screw or fitting. Close everything back up and I bet it starts.
