1999 411 Beneteau 3 cabin . All of the GFI outlets on the port side have stopped working. All four are OOS no A/C current detectable. Starboard outlets and traditional panel are working fine as is shore power panel . I replaced the GFI under the port head sink as it had a brownish burn looking mark on it. Meter across this GFI B/W shows 110 but still no functioning outlets..

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated .
Help!

Our 423 has two gfci outlets. Are you sure you only one?

Do you have an inverter, or did the boat previously have an inverter? If so it has to be powered up to supply the port outlets.

Are you saying on the the port outlets are only powered by inverter? I have an inverter on my B 423 and they all work either under shore power or inverter. There is a slide switch on my 110 panel that allows selection of the 110 source.

There is no such slide switch on the 411 OEM, however the outlet in the aft head to port is powered by shore power. That leaves two port 120 VAC outlets, one saloon, one forward cabin

If you have more than one GFI in a series loop then one bad will take out the loop even if one is good. Brown spots may be an indication of the GFI failure, and not the wiring.

GFI replacement is cheap and makes them more reliable. Replace all of them like batteries in your smoke alarm ( not just the bad battery by a tester)
