I made a visit to my "new" boat ('73 hull #968, purchased this past spring) on the hard, to get some stuff off and put some tarps on her. I noticed below deck that both windows are apparently leaking (water frozen in the shelves below each.) I guess I'll need to replace the gaskets or otherwise reseal them once the weather gets a little more hospitable. Any suggestions how I should tackle this? Thanks in advance for any help yopu can offer.

Yep

Remove them ,clean them up and reinstall with a quality silicone.Have you been reading the posts here? They tell you not to tighten the portals all at once, just snug wait 24 hrs and securely tighten down to proper torque. It also might be good to see if the gasket (rubber thingy)is whats leaking.Look for ice on that

Port Light Leaks (continued...)

Thanks CtSkip! I know I'll sound like an idiot, but how simple a task is removing, cleaning and replacing these windows? As I'm quickly discovering, everything seems to be a 2 person job when it concerns loosening or tightening something that goes through the boat. I have read everyone's caution about allowing silicone, or the like, to cure for a number of hours before tightening. Thanks for the reminder. I assume that the gaskets can stand to be replaced (I misstated the boat's age. it's a '74, so I'm sure the gaskets are OEM). Where do I find replacements, or can something be fashioned that will do the trick? Thanks again for your experienced assistance.
