Ahoy folks! I'm redoing the port lights on my O'Day 20 sailboat. The aluminum frame comes apart at one end and because of the frame curve at the bottom (bottom right on the picture), you can't get the glass out. I was wondering if someone can point out how I can remove the glass to redo the glazing vinyl? Thanks for your help!

I would think you should be able to start working the aluminum frame off top right to top left, then left side off and once you have the lower left out you should be able to lever the glass out of the lower right corner. If there is an adhesive or if it’s just gunned up a bit you could try moderate heat to the frame. Getting the lower left off would likely involve flexing the bottom Channel downward a bit to allow the corner to slip free of the frame. Slow and gentle persuasion would likely get you there.

Kent from Catalinadirect suggested "Catalina owners have twisted the frame to get the lens out and back in or some have added their own seam to make it a two piece assembly fashioning their own connectors as needed." But twisting the frame almost feels like it'll break. Very strange design how they put that glass in. True puzzle LOL
