We are replacing the lenses on the cabin ports. They are the larger Grey #715 ports in the aft cabin and head.
Any recommendations on how to easily remove the lenses at the hinges and reinstall the new ones?
Much Thanks Jon

Use a small pin or nail to push out the pin from the hinge. Be very careful to support the fixed part of the hinge ears (part of the frame) as you remove the pins. The ears are pretty easy to break off.. If it breaks off, it usually means a new frame has to be installed

I always wondered if new ears (especially for the dogs) could be fashioned out of epoxy coated wood and then attached with 3M 5200. Two of my ports have the middle dog ears broken. I am hesitant to replace the whole port, as my lenses are clear and I have new seals and have never had any leaks. If anything, it is at least worth a go...

Worth a shot. Not sure about using 5200 to attach it though. It stays flexible and is designed to be used under compression, like thru hulls. I would think using a 2 part epoxy and clamped would work.

Ahhh...just as I hit 'Enter' on my reply I was thinking the same thing. Epoxy would be the best thing. I was thinking that making a wide base on the fabricated dog would enhance the holding power of the epoxy as well. Wort case scenario is that it wouldn't work and I'd just be back to having two-dog hatches (to be used on a three-dog night).
