Hunter 356 portland
I am at the later stages of purchasing a 2003 Hunter 356. With a Yanmar 27HP motor and a MAX prop. I find at higher rpms (2500+) the boat wants to veer to the port when motoring only. Is this normal in a H356 and if not, then any idea as to what might cause this? I realize I can cheat by using the auto pilot or the wheel brake but that seems inefficient. Thoughts?

I have a 2004 356 and have not experienced this with the two blade prop that came with the boat or the kiwi I changed to.

Tigue, it is not a normal condition, see Roman's post above. On your previous post you depicted a significant pull and that is not normal. While it could be a prop issue it could also be due to another problem which could turn for the worse in the future. Work with seller or the broker to get the issue resolved before the purchase. If they are reluctant to work or deny the existence of an anomaly walk away from that deal.
