Port Browning BC eye candy

A race begins here at Port Browning, BC tomorrow morning. We will miss it, but had a great time looking at boats and visiting with the sailors. The first pic is a home built F31 crusing model. It's a cedar hull with fantastic workmanship.

And we had a great sunrise.

Nice images Ken. Not sure I could tell the cedar home built from the others. All looked to be powerful cats or tri hulls.
Nice summer sunset. Looks like you still have a bit of smoke in the air.

Actually I haven't noticed smoke in days. The cedar boat was perfect inside and out. No hull/deck connections, just smooth. I should have taken more pics as the owner gave a nice tour. He and his wife have been aboard a week or so this trip.

N. Pender has a great ride sharing program. There are stops along the roads and if you sit at one, locals will stop and offer a ride. We've done grocery shopping that way...

Thanks for the pics, Ken. Been in Port Browning many times. Jack Burns (friend) and his wife have lived there for years. We usually visit them on our way north or south.

No idea, it was just anchored out there.

Thanks for the tri pics. I thought that this one on a "mooring keg" by the Port Browning marina looked interesting two weeks ago. Not as fast as the F31 however.

I saw that one, half on the hard during low tide. Sad.

Agreed. Did like the keg - maybe it came from the pub? They have a great bowl of mushroom soup.

Wife crews on an F24 so I always like tri's. About the same handicap as my Hobie 16 - we race for beers.
