I have a Macgregor 22 and have a problem that I can`t run with the pop-up raised because it hits the mainsail boom. I`ve already adjusted the mast forward as far as the adjustment will allow, but still hits. Any one have this problem and how did you solve it. Thanks

Two ways to help clear the boom, but just a few inches. 1) Raise the goose neck as much as you can still raise the mainsail on its track. 2) raise the topping lift, it will lift the back of the boom. Look for an increasing gap at the front of the pop-up. Both of these may affect sail shape and although sailing with the pop-up open is not recommended there are calm water days where it can be done safely and may be desirable.
