Question for those with angled pop-tops: It snowed in CO last Thursday (and again yesterday). I checked on my Cat-250 two days later, and the pop top was frozen and there was some ice/water on the floor and in the bilge. The melting snow/ice probably made its way in through the pop-top and/or sliding hatch. I managed to break up the ice and cleaned everything out. I examined the pop-top and see a thin plastic strip on the sides that's coming off (likely remnants of teflon tape), but no rubber/foam/seals anywhere. Should there be? How about the forward hatch?
Can someone share photos so I can see what's missing/what to buy, how to install it? Catalina Direct offers this pop top foam gasket and
companionway hatch vinyl trim (I don't recall seeing any screws/holes, so hopefully this isn't it).
I bought the boat 2 months ago. I put a temporary tarp over the pop-top/hatch for now until the winter cover is ready.
Thanks!
Aileen
