Im waiting for the weather to warm up so I can play on our boat. I wash and wax in the fall and then do it again in the spring just before launch. That is usualy enough to do it for the year. Is Polyglow going to make our boat look better than my annual wax proceedure? Does polyglow yellow over time? Comments please...

CHANGED MAN!!

I WENT WITH POLYGLOW,AND I LOVE IT!!.. LAST SEASON I MADE A MISTAKE WHILE APPLYING IT (FORGOT TO USE THE SHAMMY).. AND HAD TO REMOVE ONE SIDE. IT COMES OF 1,2,3 WITH THE REMOVER PROVIDED AND MINUTES LATER I HAD THE JOB COMPLETE. ILL NEVER GO BACK TO WAX. POLYGLOW LOOKS BETTER AND LASTS FOR AT LEAST 2 SEASONS.. AND ITS A DREAM TO APPLY..

Poliglow

If you have a newer vessel with healthy gelcoat wax it. If you have an older vessel with tired chalky it doesn't get any better than Poliglow. I preped mine with #600 sandpaper instead of their compound like cleaner. Their competitor Vertglas will yellow after two years but I didn't see this effect with Poliglow. Poliglow results exceed anything you can do with wax. Removal is a pain but if you clean it and do a quick coat each spring it should last for years. Black streak remover sold at RV stores and West Marine will disolve this stuff.

Black Sreak remover with Poliglow?

Is there a blackstrip remover that you can get that will not disolve the Poliglow?

Here's My Experience

A friend on my dock decided to do me a favor and clean the diesel snot off the transom of my Hunter 34 a few years ago. He had a spray bottle of black streak remover used on boats and RVs. (Great stuff but buy it at Walmart instead of West) I removed the diesel soot but took the acrylic finish off also. After a good laugh and another beer I decided this is great stuff if you ever want to remove the Poliglow, Vertglas or what ever. Poliglow is wonderful stuff but can be challenging to remove. I'd use the stuff again in a minute but would avoid the streak remover unless I want to remove the entire coating

CLENZ-ALL

Poli Glow sells a product called Clenz-All. It is a cleaning paste that is non-toxic, biodegradable, non-caustic, phosphate free, and non-flammable. It is used to remove scum, algae, oil stains, chalking, yellowing, water-stains, black lines, tar, sap, bugs from fiberglass, etc. It can also be used in the galley and head. I recommend it to use on the marks you describe. It won't damage or remove the Poli Glow. I speak from experience. On a side note, I had inquired about becoming a distributor in my area for Poli Glow products since I have so many people at the boat yard asking me what I am using. I received a nice packet of information from Poli Glow. I have not acted on going ahead with this because of the investment in buying product to sell. If anybody is interested, you can go to their website and use it to send them a message of interest.

Clenz-all link

I see that they have it listed on the Order Page of the website. Go to http://www.poliglowproducts.com/ and click Order. It is the fourth grey line down from the top. The write-up that I quoted from was sent to me by Poli Glow. I'm sure they can send you more information if you called their 800 number.
