I am needing to replace a 7 ft fixed port on my hunter 280. Is the original polycarbonate (ie LEXAN) or acrylic (ie plexiglass)?

Thanks,

Larry

What Rick D said. Now, please post a thorough description of the project as I'll probably need to do the same in a year or so.

Thanks!

acrylic.....

A modern acrylic with the UV-guard layer and hardened surface would be a good choice. Lexan would be stronger, but it is also much more affected by UV.

(Our fixed ports are all Lexan, but our model boat was designed from the git-go for offshore sailing.)

Can i order this acrylic ports here? My friend broke his H280 port windows and is having difficulty getting a replacement here in Singapore.
