Poll !!!!!!!

Hi Vegatarians,

On this ******* rainy monday I saw this bloody poll on my p.c. and it did not make me feel better. Do you, sailors, have such a poor sexlife that you have to make a choice between your partner or your Vega?
My husband and I are sailing already twenty years together and the most enjoyable time was (and still is) on the Vega (13 years). Only in winter (when she is ashore) we have some problems.
Did you ever heard your Vega saying, when she is ashore, : "give me back my wings and sail"? We did and do!

I have a good advise for all male-Vegatarians: involve your partner in the virus "sailing a Vega", because it is "a way of living", as Lars Lemby from Sweden (former chairman of the VODA) always says.
He is still sailing V 7 with his wife.

By the way: I will sail with my partner to the IFR in Aarhus in Denmark next summer. And we surely will have a nice time.
Of course: all American Vegatarians are invited!

Ciao,

HA,HA,HA, it's amazing ! I find it ALL very hilarious, as someone has already said "lighten up", I mean it doesn't HAVE to be, simply a technical symposium. Even Sid included cartoons in the newsletter. Frank Gallardo, V-2184

Hmmm a little over reaction I think. Possibly a slight chemical
imbalance Yvonne?
It's really not cool to blast away at an entire group just because a
silly poll pushed one of your hot buttons. (Especially when you use the
words "*******" and "bloody" in the same sentence.)

I'd bet that Steve never dreamed he'd jerk so many folks chains with his little poll. Well it's good for the soul. I have a neighbor (not a live-aboard)who comes down to his boat every weekend without fail with a case of beer just to get away from, to use his words, 'the old nag and the little shits at home'. I don't get it. Laura and I can't get enough time together. Oh well, different strokes........................imbissfrank@... wrote:

Hi All

I am glad most Vega-tarians seem to see the funny side of my little poll.
My wife has come sailing twice with me and both times she ended up pregnant
and seeing we only wanted the two children and she did not enjoy the water
I do not see the point of subjecting her to holidays on the water when she
much prefers to take the caravan and meet me at each of the ports on the
South Coast of the UK. When we had the IFR at Hoo, Medway in 1998 we had a
great time sailing from port to port and actually having the comfort of
arriving to a cooked meal, shower and the joy of seeing Eve and the two
boys. Believe me I would not be without her and the boys but I do have a
sense of humour (I think).

Check the Poll, I have added a few different selections to satisfy
everyone!! Please vote..

Kind Regards to you all

Hi Steve,

Your poll did not hurt me at all. You wanted to cheer up the Vegatarians in their winter sleep and you really did! I am awake! You fluttered the dovecotes and this was my reaction. I only wanted to flutter other dovecotes.
I have three children and happily can't get any more; so I can sail any time any day with my partner.
Germans have humour and I have too, but... I am not German... I am from Holland, "with the click-a-dee clack-a-dee wooden shoes and tulips everywhere".

New verse of the Vega-song (melody: my Bonnie is over the ocean)

Last monday I looked at the e-group
it rained and the weather was bad
I saw Steve his poll and I said 'whoop'
so went my reaction ahead.

Refrain:
Vega, oh Vega
high waves or storm you will never fail
Vega, oh Vega
not seasick or dull, you just sail.

Hope to sing this song TOGETHER WITH YOU in Aarhus!

Ciao,
