Nick

I'd like to come visit and meet when ya come up, I use to run the kids to there mothers house in Southold on a regular basis but now there older and I've been sending them on the train for 6.50 one way which is a hell of a lot cheaper than driving round trip but I know we will be heading that way and Greenport is just down the road so I'll be in touch

Actually Maine

I had some scuff marks that were created with a scotchbrite cleaning sponge that I went over twice with the cutting cream(black wool pad) and not much improvement. I then used the 3m rubbing compound(foam compunding pad) and the scratches came out on the first pass. Maybe I was not using it correctly. I will give it a try on the gelcoat in my cockpit tomorrow .

Make sure...

Tim, Make sure the black wool pad is damp before use. Dip it in a bucket and then spin it drier... What ever you did it looks great! Sounds like you used the system we used last year on it..

Ok

I will give that a try. I really only buffed where I had a few scratches. Otherwise I did the whole boat with the Chroma 1500 followed by 2 coats of Collinite.

Sweet...

KATHY does GOOD WORK! Now if the hauler can get it out of there without hitting all those trees. And if the hydraulic lines don't break and spatter fluid all over the hull... you will be good to go. What does the inside look like? Lets get a picture please to see progress. Very nice.

Rich....

Very nice work!!! Yeah, Spectrum is hard to find, no sign, but the stuff is a deal as far as I'm concerned! $20.00 for 32oz of Ultra Cutting Creme is a steal compare to 3M prices this year..

Looks Awesome Rich

I am still amazed at the overall conditon or your boat. Someone took very good care of her. I am working on the interior today. Lots of odds and ends to go back in including the table which I am touching up in the basement. Here is my list for today: -Install batteries -Commission the engine -Paint transducers -Wash the decks and cockpit -Wax the cabin top -Continue installing stuff in the interior -Install GPS antenna and test -Commission the water system(check for leaks in the new faucet, shower and/or water heater. -Put cushions and boom on the boat -Finish installing bungs in exterior brightwork -Install new lifelines -Install repaired wind gauge If I have extra time: -Polish and wax the cockpit -Scrape old varnish from last piece of exterior brightwork Kathy will continue to clean when she gets home from work. Back to work.

Tim... your an animal.

I could not keep up your rigorous pace. Do you whip Kathy... or does she help you willingly? Let me know when you get the toilet off the chart table!

Minor snafu yesterday

I found that one of my Marelon seacocks was not closing. The handle was turning but the ball never moved. Had to go on a wild goose chase to get the parts and install them so my list continues into today. Although I did get the following done: -Install batteries -Commission the engine -Paint transducers -Wash the decks and cockpit -Install GPS antenna and test -Commission the water system(check for leaks in the new faucet, shower and/or water heater. -Install repaired wind gauge -Varnished the last few parts in the basement -Mounted horseshoe ring bracket -Reinstalled electrical panel and tested -Plained table and doors for proper fit now that everything has 3 coats of poly -Installed hinges on all cabinet doors -Applied last 2 coats of wax to transom Silly Rich, the toilet was not on the chart table, it was in the shower. I installed that days ago. And I whip Kathy daily ;-)

Tim, I'm curious..

How do you get your boat to and from your property?? I'm curious because your jack stands almost look like they would need a travel lift or crane to get it on to a trailer.

That's easy

My stands are redundant(8 of them). When the truck shows up there are only 5 and 2 of them are backwards leaning in against the hull.
