I have a spinnaker pole end fitting that is attached by sliding 2 straps over the end of the pole.
The spar plans call for the pole ends to be 2" but the inside width of the fitting is about 1.5" at the end so I would either have to taper the pole to fit or "counterbore" the straps over the ends. I would not have to taper too much as the throat of the fitting tapers from 2" to the 1.5".
I think tapering the pole so it slides over the end would be preferable. Does anyone have a similar type fitting?
Thanks, Jon
