For all of you cruising the Chesapeak Bay, I just have to tell you that we just had a gastronomic delight this weekend. We left Solomons on Friday morning and arrived at Point Lookout Marina about 6PM. Took a stroll around the place and located the resturant named Spinakers. Got cleaned up and went back to Spinakers for dinner. We hadn't made reservations and were very lucky to get a table. Anybody who likes Baked Brie, should try the one here with Warm Pear Preserves, it is just GREAT. The Nova Salmon was excellent, as were the salads, Fruta de Mare and the Shrimp-Chicken etouffe. Don't forget the creme' brulle for desert. Most importantly, make a reservation. One great thing is that you can order half portions of the salad and several of the entre's, which is more then enough for the average person. They also have a pretty nice wine selection. Anyway, Point Lookout Marina and Spinakers will be on our destination list every season. Enjoy! Karl s/v CyberSail

Turn around. You might see a celebrity!

When we used to stop there 3 out of 5 times you'll find Ted Koeppel (Of "Nightline" fame) eating there with his family. He keeps his sailboat up the river at the Corinthian YC. Now that we live in Florida, we miss the Bay A LOT!
