I have a 1974 Ranger 33. Great boat. Sails well and is fast. I've had Jezebel for 5 years and had very few problems. But my tiller has a little bit of play in it. I'd like to fix this, but I'm not certain what to do. When I had her out for bottom paint the rudder looked great and there was no slop in it at all. What I think is I should remove the tiller and put a bushing in it. However, I don't know if the rudder will slip out and if this will actually fix the problem. So, that being said, has anyone out there had this problem, and what did it take to fix it?
