I have a Hunter 410 built in 1999 and it has two fake port hole windows on either side of the raised cabin deck. These two plastic inserts over the years cristalized and do not look good anymore. I like to replace them. I wonder if anybody has done this before and give me some hints on how to proceed with this job. I asume that Hunter still has new replacement window inserts available.
Any info would be appreciated.

I thought my dodger wasn't that good looking

when I first installed it.

After living onboard and cruising with it for the past six years I think it's gorgeous.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply. No, I am not talking about the two forward ports on the coach roof. The two ports I am referring to are more aft and are oval in a vertical position.

Okay, now I know what you are referring to.

There are different products that are available for replacement.

I think there is a commpany in New Jersey (Select Plastics). I would suggest that you contact them about replacement material. Not all acrylic is created equal. I would consult with them about a high quality replacement product.

If the product is flat there is no problem with you doing it yourself. If it has a curve, then there maybe an issue. Spend the money for the good stuff and it will last for many years without an issue.

Rick Dinon had all of his acrylic replaced and it look great. Maybe he will pipe in and let us know what they used on his boat.

Good luck, let us know what you find out.
