Does anyone know of a history of problems with Macs having the gudgeons pulling from the transom in heavy weather? Also, anyone heard of rudders breaking?
I haven't heard of it; even on the '73 Venture the gudgeons were wood reinforced inside the hull. The kickup rudders will fold if forced, making control interesting. On a Mac-22 running hard, its not difficult to overpower that butterknife of a rudder, but they seem to take it. Any input from more recent models?
