Leave them pink

Jacklines are typically used to sail solo so you don't fall off the boat. Since no one else is around, no one will notice they're pink. I wouldn't dye them, for fear the dye might rub or rinse off onto the deck and create a new problem.

Best to leave them

Most of the things one might do, such as bleaching or dying, may have an adverse affect on the chemical composition of the stitching (notice how pfd's warn you not to clean them in anything other than soapy water?). Bright colors are a nautical tradition--why not leave it and see if sun/salt fading gives you that stylish Ralph Lauren look?...

Leave em, anyone asks what the pink things

Jacklines

I think a better alternative to jacklines on a boat like the C&C 24 (I used to own one and it was a great boat!)is to install a secure pad eye on the cockpit floor. If used with a short tether, it will keep you on the boat if you fall or are knocked down. Also, clipping your harness to a bolt at the base of the mast will also keep you on the boat if you have to forward in heavy weather. Traditional jacklines, run fore and aft just inside the toe rail didn't seem like a good idea to me on that boat since if you fall, you'll go overboard, and if alone, you are going to be dragged in the water with little chance of getting back on the boat. I think the best set up for small boats is something like I described above which won't let you get knocked off the boat in the first place.

Dye wont work.....

The color in nylon or dacron polyester, etc. is IN the material before the 'fibers' are made. Attempting to dye them will only temporarily 'coat' the surface and will soon fade and/or rub off. If any one asks, just tell them you support breast cancer research ... and slowly turn away.

only real men can wear pink

Buck up there man! Get some confidence! I have a pink climbing rope for my rappelling discovery class, and also use it for top climbing. I have NEVER got any editorial remarks from any of my students.

Don't Worry About Them

Unless your that unsure of your manhood. If asked about the color tell them "They have faded alot, they were red from the blood of the last jerk who made fun of them".

I think the reason they are pink

is a safty factor.Alot of jack lines are vivid bright colors so that they a very very easy to identify and not mix up with any other lines.Pink stand out and will not be mixed up a halyard or what ever.Remember that in most cases a jackline is used because of poor conditions or by a single handler and safety is primary. They are also great conversation starters so have fun with the pink! either way you can't go wrong !

Why Bother changing color?

It will become a topic for conversation on the dock and will highlight your concern for safety. If it works - don't touch it! :)

Buy another colour

Tony C&C 24 - Possibly the pink jacklines have greater UV resistance or something. Some of the other posts suggested that the distinctive colour may be advantageous. In any case, if it troubles you, just buy another colour.

Some times they call me Pinky...

I am in the heavy construction business and I wear pink polo shirts to work on Fridays...everyone else seems to wear aloha shirts out here in SoCal. I supervise all sorts of tough characters on tough projects. If, at 6 foot and 175 pounds, I can handle all of the crap sent my way when I wear my pink shirt, I would hope a rough tough sailor could handle pink jack lines.
