Pink antifreeze & K.O. dilution

Dear peggy, I am wondering if my holding tanks have to be filled with water and pumped out to get rid of the pink antifreeze from winter storage... will it prevent KO from working? Also I'm going to start the project I've talked to you before about , spraying all my cushions with KO and wondering if I can dilute it at all? Thanks, John O'Donald

The active ingredient in the antifreeze is alcohol

Alcohol kills bacteria...so of course the tanks have to be rinsed out before using K.O. or any other organic holding tank product. As for diluting it before spraying cushions, why would you want to use a weak dilution? Besides,One $10 22-oz bottle should be more than enough to take care of every cushion on your boat, with enough left over to treat your holding tank after you've rinsed it out.
