Does anybody know about a few PILOTS THAT WERE BUILT IN CHILE FOR THEIR NAVY? I found one in terrible shape but seemingly built well that needs a new home. The story I got was that the molds were sent to chile to build several boats and were finished-out there. We don"t have many Hinckleys here on the left coast so I don"t have any to compare this one to. Does anybody else in the US have one? This one has a keel stepped aluminum mast, Bronze pulpits and stancions, heavy rigging, a Yanmar, insulated deck and cabin sides, bronze oval ports two of which open, lewmar hatches, blah, blah, blah. The finish work inside the lazarette, cockpit lockers and inside the hull seem rougher than I would expect in this type of boat but after all, it wasn't built in Maine. Where can I find the orgional layout for the interior? It might be worth the effort to rebuild this one. Any body taken one blue water cruising? Let me know what you know.
