Since there are few pictures of the 30' "G" model on the site, and since there is some confusion about the differences between the "T" model and the "G" model, I have just posted a dozen pictures of my boat in the "The Boats" area. Also, in my opinion, the "G" is the better looking of the two boats. Check it out! Bob

great pix!

Thanks - that really helps sort out what is probably the most confusing of all Hunter models. Did you refinish the interior teak? It looks darker than I remember the wood of that vintage.

nice boat

She is a very nice boat, I have a 94 30T and think she is the best looking girl at the dance also :)

Minimal maintenance - maximum sailing

Phil, I haven't refinished the interior. I don't even clean it enough! I don't have a lot of time for my boat, so I try to maximize the sailing time and minimize the maintenance. I did refinish the exterior teak with Cetol this year, but it was either that or soon replace the wood! Some guys at my club wash their boats every week and wax it frequently. I envy them the time. My boat and I spend our time playing with the wind and waves rather than the mops and rags. Bob.

Thanks for the pic's

Bob, Thanks for the pictures of your H30, very nice boat. I have a 1988 30G and I am now inspired to take some pic's this weekend and post them. Keep a lookout for pictures of the SV "DEFENDER" gerald

The beauty of the Hunter G

Bob, It took me a while to figure out the difference between the two boats. We sailed a "T" for a couple of years at our club, decided to buy a H30, and ended up with a "G," not realizing at the time there was a difference. Now that we don't bang our heads on the forward bulkhead any more, we have decided the "G" is the much better looking boat, and are glad we ended up with a "G"!

Forward Bulkhead ?

Thanks for posting the pictures. We own a 1990 "G" model and definitely like the cabin top profile. But i didn't quite understand Bob's comment about the forward bulkhead ? Bob, do you mean that you have finally gotten accustomed to the bulkhead being slightly lower on the "G" model, i would not think that it could be more than a couple of inches different.

forward bulkhead?

I think it was Dean Strong who made that comment. I don't have a head-banging problem forward, but I have gotten a few lumps going into and out of the aft cabin. Bob

forward bulkhead ?

Sorry Bob, i was referring to Dean's comment. I also have a problem with head room geting in and out of the aft berth, but once inside, the aft berth is much larger than any other hunter until you get to the 37.5. How do you feel that our 30's compare overall to the H35.5...the two designs are very similar in many ways but obviously the 35.5 has some speed advantages. Just wondering. Thanks for posting the pictures, my wife and i have really enjoyed them.
