I will be checking the photo and cheribini forums but I wondered if anyone has done an istall lately on their boat? What did you do about the split backstay? Did you modify boom for height? What were general costs in your area? In mine? Any ideas/help I would appreciate!! Pray for Wind, Lugeman

Easy way to price.

You could go to Sailrite and price the bimini and/or dodger. Then double that price for a custom built. See "Related Link". I made the bimini from a Sailrite kit almost nine years ago. And I used aluminum instead of stainless because I was on fresh water. It is still serving me well. Now that I am in salt water we will see. As for the backstay problem I have a slot with velcro sewn in for closure. You would obviously need two slots. The nice thing about building your own is that you can design around the boom issue. I first played with getting the middle and aft frames high for good headroom. Then the forward bow is lower for boom clearance. I am over six feet and have no problems.
