I've been trying to find out what my PHRF Rating is for San Francisco Bay for my 1977 H-25. I have a race on September 30 and I want to see where I stand versus the competition. Any San Francisco Bay women racers who may have an interest, we are having the Black Lace Panty Race in the South Bay, start at Redwood City, California, on September 30, 2001, sponsored by Peninsula Yacht Club. Criteria: all women skippers and crew with one galley boy allowed (must remain below and serve captain and crew needs upon request). Competition is expected to be 22-30' Coronado, Catalina, MacGregor, Cals, Columbia, Balboa and, of course, my Hunter 25. We will publish this race in Latitude 38. It won't be a tough, technical race -- more fun than anything else. My toughtest competition is a specific Coronado 25. I have a full batten adjustable main and hydraulic back stay, and I do know how to use them. I intend to use a 150 jib. I expect relatively light winds in September.
