Portable Tabernacle
yes, Kelly, it is supposed to help one to be able to step the mast singlehanded. I tried to submit the total article on the website, but it was to big and it was rejected. So I had to crop the photo down to just show the portable tabernacle itelf. Be sure to pick up a copy of the Sail Magazine, September, 2003, pg 116, article "Things that Work". It will explain everything. I have not had time to build one myself yet but as soon as I can I will, at least to give it a try. I find that trying to step the 27' mast myself can be an exciting ordeal and I have been trying to figure out something to make it easier and less dangerous to myself and anyone, or thing around me when I do step the mast by myself. AFter reading the article, I thought that others with O'Day Daysailers might benefit from the article.
