You're right! It would be difficult (impossible?) to unlock from the outside and that's the point!! I was concerned cuz there was no way to lock the boat from the inside and Brian gave me this great suggestion. Being a solo woman sailor, safety is a concern. Now I can sleep peacefully on my boat! LaDonna

Seeing that nice piece of varnished wood, do you mean metally unstable?? Here is some good news--If you think you are crazy (mentally unstable), you're not! All of our mental health patients genuinely believe that they are not crazy. Besides sailing is so theraputic ,you can just love life---what could be better?
