Thanks for being on this site and for answering my last question as best you could. I am the one with the Super Cold Machine installed in Feb 1994 and trying to determine the type of refridgerant. The orange tag attached to the unit does not give any hint about CFC 12 or HFC 134a. The only hint may be an operating pressure value listed as 8 to 10. Nowhere else on the unit is there any indication. What are the consequences if we assume that it is 134a???Thanks again!!!Joe Baker

Refrigerant

There is a silver label on the base of the compressor unit which gives the type of gas in each system. This label also has the serial number of the unit.You do not want to guess and put in the wrong gas!
