My wife and I use the Mustang pfd's and find them very comfortable. In fact you don't even notice you are wearing them!

PFDs

It's all a mater of personal preference. I just bought a new neoprean PFD from Wally Mart that I find very comfy, and it has zippered pockets that I really like. Some of the more sucsessfull racers in my club swear by the inflatable life vests saying that they are very light and out of the way while racing. I would sugest that you shop around and see what you like the best.

PFD

Think hard before buying an auto inflatable PFD with harness. They are heavier than the autoinflate PFD without the harness. Weigh both and analyze your requirements. I have both and prefer the lighter PFD.

Try them on

We have the WM SOSpenders auto-inflatables and they are very comfortable. Wish we had gotten the integrated harness. Go to WM and try them on.

Ditto on the autoinflate

Wore them all last week in 85-95+ temps, very comfortable and not cumbersome.
