At least one generation of Hunters had it. Mine for one. I'm happy with it. My former one had it too. That's 24 years experience with it on boats.

I actually prefer pex over the re-enforced nylon hose many boats have for water. The pex is harder and doesn't seem to absorb the smell some water hoses get when they sit. I wouldn't hesitate to install pex on the fresh water side of a boat water system. I've worked on plumbing houses with pex and it is easy to work with and goes in relatively quick. Just make sure to size the diameter properly so you get a good flow.

it sure beats the "gray" RV crap that was originally in my 1991 42'. Not a single issue since it was installed and the water tastes great.

Go with a standard size, or buy a few spare connectors/fittings when you buy it. I have a few spares, but no need yet and it has been almost 5 years.

I did the red and blue, so it is easy to see what is what.

All the best

Red/ blue is nice. I have a good source locally for 3/8" PEX and fittings and it is MUCH easier to work with than 1/2" PEX. Either way STRAIGHT lengths are far easier to work with than coils. I prefer the Watts/SeaTech plastic fittings as they don't corrode and look like crap three weeks after you completed the job.

Building this manifold too literally two or three minutes...

You don't need to pay "marine" prices. Watts owns Seatech and sells the identical fittings under the Watts brand... I pay about 35% less through my local plumbing wholesaler...

Please be very careful that you are buying either all metric or all US pipe size. Early on they forced metric PEX & fittings into the marine market so they could charge us boat loads of money for "proprietary" marine PEX and fittings. A lot of the metric PEX is still out there and it will not mix with US sized PEX.

I believe they sell the elbows, tees and pipe at Lowes.
