Hey Peter, I noticed you were back... you must of had some serious blister damage. Hopefully you got it all fixed now. I saw you launching but couldnt stop since i was late for a meeting. I will look for ya when i'm out again. I'm still at Monroe... i have been been thinking about moving the boat out to the coast. The bugs are killin me out there. I spent a day cleaning the whole boat.. it was showroom condition, i went back out there two days later and it looked like i hadnt cleaned the dahm thing all year. :( seems like i spend more time cleaning the boat out there than sailing it. There is a brand new 240 next to me. Looks nice, roller furling, stern seats, all the extras. But he had just as many bugs on it if not more than me. Talk to ya soon my fren... greg

I hate those damn bugs too

They seem to be unusually bad this year, so much so that they've made the 11 o'clock news on more than one occasion. Maybe the coast IS the answer. I live less than five minutes from the Beeline Expressway, and I can be in Port Canaveral, Cocoa Beach or Titusville in the same time it takes to drive to Sanford. Hmmmmm... Peter H23 "Raven"

East Coast Marinas....

Hey Peter, I made some calls to see about storage out on the coast. Not good. There is one that would be ideal... Kennedy Point Yacht Club (titusville), they have dry storage with a boat ramp right there...50/mo plus 45/mo club dues.... but they are full. I called around to others in the area, most of them want upwards of $200 for a 30ft slip. They charge by the slip not the LOA. I may take a ride and see if there is a good storage place more inland but close to the water... then all i have to do is hook up and drive a few miles instead of dragging the boat all the way from Altamonte. Dont know... but the bugs are killin... and pretty soon the wind on the lake will die down like last year. Gots to do something. A nice evening sail on the intercoastal would be good after work. Know what i mean? Talk at ya later my fren. greg

anyone coming to Jacksonville?

I bought an 82 H22 last fall that I keep on the St. Johns in Jacksonville. If anyone is heading this way and wants to sail for a bit on the river let me know. I'd actually like to head out with some experts for some pointers and to help with that ole' "heeling" problem. David "sea monkeys"
