Pete's friend...
is me! Nice way to stay in touch with my friends, and I'm active here, as well. One more week and Kukulcán Sr hits the hard for the winter, but a week is a week. Sails will probably come off Thursday. We hope to spend this last weekend aboard. The marina is throwing an end-of-season party Saturday night, and we hope to get a sail in both Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. I'm afraid to look at the bottom-we've lost about a knot-and-a-half at cruising rpms, so between the prop and the bottom, it will probably be pretty grubby, although the waterline itself doesn't look too bad. And yet she seems to be sailing up to snuff, so maybe it is just a fouled prop. Went out around the begining of the week, and had great wind, something over 20 mph in gusts. There's a reason the lower ports have that caution about not opening them while under sail! Pete, thanks for the help and Mike, when do we get to read about your adventures?Bill Coxe, O28/O40, New london, CTthe email is wlcoxe@hotmail.com
