Hi again, Some of you may remember by big repair this past off season of hull blisters. Someone asked for a report of performance once in the water. Well, Pure And Easy is sailing smooth and confidently. Can't really detect any performance compromise, and actually feel that she is competing well with other boats out on the water. But, the real test will be at haulout. I have the entire repair documented with digital photos (used West System) and wonder if it would be worth posting for archives. Kevin in VT

Pleas post it

Post it please! I did a big bottom job in 99 on my 81 H30 Illusions and had 100-200 blisters. I ground out all the blisters and re-glassed them with west systems and some glass matting cut in layers to fit. Covered with 404 putty then I ground it all down and bottom painted. I did not apply a barrier coat. Mistake! I'm planning on hauling in the fall and can already see I have just as many blisters as I had in 99. I have already bought the barrier coat. Would appreciate any advise. Question for the masses, Do all Hunter boats of that era have similar problems? Thanks Hawaii Dan USMC (retired)

What's the best way ???

I'll try and get it posted over this weekend, but with the first long strech of sunshine up here in VT, and consistant 10-15K winds forecast....well.....one guess where I'll be! Unless there is another way that I don't know of, I guess the best way to post this would be in individual stages, outlining each phase and attaching applicable photo. Thoughts? Kevin (4-6 more weeks of season left, and I'm on it!) in VT
