Peplacement Keel

Need to replace Keel on our Hunter 26. Would appreciate advice on best place to purchase and recommended Boat repair yard to do the work. We are located in Mashpee MA on the Cape. Thx

You do not mention the reason for the replacement; if the centerboard broke in an accidental grounding or some form of unintended incorrect operation then it could be a covered incident under your insurance coverage. Sorry I cannot help you with your questions but thought I would mention the insurance possibility. Should it be a covered incident it will be the insurer's responsibility to a select a boat yard and look for the parts. Hunter Marine may be able to provide information on where to find a replacemnt. Replacement Keel

Thx for the reply- damage were accidental and yes it was covered by insurance. Boat is at a yard where I do not feel comfortable with them doing the work. Following back up with my insurance company for a recommendation – thanks again for the heads up – and for not mentioning the obvious spelling error in my title “Peplacement Keel”??

They have them on this site in the chandlery. The OEM centerboard for the Hunter 26 is under Cockpit/Steering/Rudders/Foam Rudders. Or you could just click on the link.

I believe the Hunter 26 centerboard is listed for $1,620.00. Hope this helps
