WOW!

Sorry to hear that John, Alas its a shame that a beauty like that is not being enjoyed. Do you have a photo???...I would be interested in restoring her.....but if not there are many restoration programs that Im sure would love your boat. they restore them with volunteer help teaching classes in boat building and restoration. Most main water centers offer some type of program. There is one at the Chesapeake bay museum. Kalimar nickle shipyard in Wilmington Mystic seaport, Newport Rhode island. I think there is one on Phily. Baltimore and Annapolis "I would do a web search for donate your boat"....this will give you a good idea of where to go....However with a beauty like that I would try to find a watermans museum that has a restoration program this would provide work for the next generation of restorers and shipwrites and also if its a non profit should provide you with a nice tax write off.......till then I would love to see a pic rob.maas@bermstudios.com Good luck! Rob try someone like this http://www.mysticseaport.org/build/bo-boats.htm

Boy Scouts of America

Why not contact the Boy Scouts of America and donate the boat to them? The young scouts would gain great experience sailing and working on this boat.

Make sure the Charity is legit.

Make sure the Charity is legit. Some Boat Donation Programs have tax ID's and all the legal paper work that says they are charities, but are in reality unlicensed boat brokers. I got a great deal on my boat through ebay through one of these "charities". The Owner got his money , plus a tax write off. The "charity" got 15% of the sale. The Boy Scouts are a safe bet.
