tradeoffs. Our O'day 25 is maxed out with a 9 gal. tank under the v-berth that we can get three days out of which corresponds to our ice and water capabilities. I don't have the battery capacity for a Lectrasan. We are located on the Gulf side of Key Largo, on Blackwater Sound, almost exactly in the middle of the two ways out into the ocean. Broad Creek to the north and Snake Creek to the south-west (the only pumpout station) are both about 25 miles away, a 4 hour sail in either direction. To get out into the gulf is even further because of all of the mudflats in Florida bay. None the less it is a small price to pay for sailing in paradise. PM
