Peg, I installed a new Raritan last year, and I am pleased with it, no problems as yet. I also installed a new 13 gallon tank (I think its a Todd) with all new hose and fittings. I bought the fittings at West Marine. They are Nylon (or some other White plastic - deemed by West as suitable for waste). The hose is Sealand Sanitation. The tank is fine, but the threads on the fitting at the outlet are seeping. I used Teflon Tape on all the threads, should I have used something else. The tank has threads either (spin) welded or cast into the bottom (front side) of the tank. It would be nice if there was a barbed fitting with a flange and washer to seat flat against the side of the tank but there is not. Any Suggestions!

Try more wraps of the Teflon tape...

If that doesn't seal it, replace the fittings. Either the ones you bought are out of spec tolerance, or the fitting in the tank is.

Thanks Peg!

Thanks Peg, you were right, I located a Todd fitting which has a flange on it, and when tightened properly seals against the side of the tank, as well as the thread seal with adequate teflon tape. Problem solved. Only problem having a great head, is when you go sailing with several boats, everyone wants to use it.............
