Do you know where I can find a basic inline 3/4" shutoff valve (PVC or nylon, preferably with hose barbs, or 3/4" female threads, at both ends) that I can splice into the top radius of the loop in the hose between the pump and the bowl? I had no luck at Home Depot today, they just carry heavy bronze ball valves, a bit much (and ugly!) to sit on top of a nice white Shields 3/4" hose. This goes back to a previous conversation - so we can open and close the raw water supply to the head (While IN the head!) in the middle of the night without having to trudge to the main cabin, removing a drawer, and reaching under the galley sink through the drawer opening to open the ball valve on the seacock). Sorry for the hardware question...

Try a plumbing supply house...

There's virtually nothing in marine plumbing that's "marine-specific"...you can buy most fitting at plumbing supply stores for about half the price you pay for them in marine stores. If you still can't find it, e-mail me...I'll do a little digging for you. 'Cuz I know 3/4" PVC ball valves are out there.

Da barbie George, da barbie.

George: I think if you look for the shut off valve with a female/male threaded fitting first. Then add the type of ends you will have what you need. Don't ever remember seeing one with barbed ends either.

Found a nice one, PVC. (Yup Steve, threaded...)

Thanks to both. Now, I have the perfect (and forever odorless!) sanitation system. Not sure if I like perfect plumbing, or perfect wiring, better. There's something very similar in the logic of both, and the same exact feeling of satisfaction when surveying your finished handiwork and it's results...
