peg removal on galley shelf

How can I remove the pegs for the plates and cups on the galley shelf? I would like to use it to install a small microwave and I'll use paper plates. Thanks in advance > Stephen Rosen

Steve: There is a small woodworking saw that is made to do just what you want. I do not know how much room you have but they can cut peg off flush with the deck. The other thing that you could do is just hack them off the best you can and then sand them off. Then you could put a piece of formica on the bottom and cover it all up. This may make cleanup a little easier in the future too.

Peg Removal

On the 340 shelf, the pegs are just tight in the holes. They can be removed by clamping on to the peg with a pair of pliers and rotating the peg.
