pedistal problems

Has anyone had pedistal problems and where can I buy parts for the pedistal. Fwd and rev bracket is broken. 1985 28.5 need alittle TLC. Thanks, Rick

Junk the bracket

I had a 1985 H34 and the bracket broke. Got rid of the bracket completely and installed an external single lever shift and throttle that mounted next to the pedestal. Contact Edson. A little costly but helps resale. The old bracket cannot be fixed. It was made of plastic.

Rick: I assume that you have a Merriman Y/S pedistal. They are no longer in business. You may want to search the archives. Someone has a source for the part. It was not cheap but may be worth it price vs. the alternatives.
