Paul..

If you ever plan to use your compass for navigation purposes it would be a good idea to have it professionally calibrated or "swung" and a deviation card made..

This is an article about the guy I use:

tiller extension

Paul,
You answered this question once before, but i can't seem to find it, and I am finally getting around to doing the same thing. You posted 12-10-07 about the tiller extension you have attached to the wheel, but apparently those pics are no longer available. My local boat place has the "Battle stick" adjustable extensions, but how did you adapt the connection to the wheel, and what length did you find worked for you? I found an RWO RO712 fitting that has a curved surface I could epoxy to the wheel which is about the same shape, but it does not appear compatible with the locking mechanism on to the "battle stick" end fitting. What holds that connection together? Was it a ronstan part that you attached to the wheel?
