Hello all new to sailboating and this forum.

I am trying to take on refurbishing my father's sail boat and I just ran into a big hurdle.

long story short I only have a few things to do to get it water ready, one is stepping the mast.

my father had intentions many years ago to have the spreaders replaced. He dropped them off at a shop then was unable to continue working on the boat.

years have gone by, and the shop where he thought he dropped the spreaders off to has since gone out of business.

Does anyone have, or know the dimensions for a pair of spreaders on a 1974 pearson 30'

I can find out what mast is on this boat as well, If anyone knows these dimensions or where to find this information I would be forever grateful.

I have called rig right with not much luck again any help would be greatly appreciated

Ty all again for your time

Welcome to the SBO Forum. Congrats on accepting the project "giving life again to your Dad's boat".

One place that has built spreaders is Custom aluminum and carbon masts and booms.

Send them an email with the boat specifications and your mast height. They may be able to help.

Hello chumperdink, Call Bacon Associates in Annapolis with your needs. Perhaps they can give you places to contact if they do not have what you need. Best Wishes in your search and best wishes for sailing on the Chesapeake Bay!

If you have your spar brand and size, the RigRite site should have the spreaders for your brand. Otherwise, John's suggestion would be a good backup.

I had a Ranger 29 of that vintage and it had wooden spreaders - cedar I think. At any rate if you can't find replacements you could fabricate them.
